Dr Peter practices what he loves doing best at Glenferrie Dental – replacing missing teeth and creating smiles! When he first embarked on his career as a dentist, he had one mission in mind that continues to drive him today and that is to have his patients smile with the warmth of their hearts.
With over a decade of experience in the field of dentistry, Dr Laird practices the full breadth of sleep dentistry to provide a tailored and personalised approach to ensure his patient’s best experience. Since graduating from the University of Queensland in 2012, Dr Laird has sought leaders in the field of Cosmetic and Implant dentistry with the sole purpose of fulfilling his mission statement. People from all walks of life have a unique story to tell and he believes it is best told with their best smile.
Dr Laird is a postgraduate of the Mini-Residency in Prosthodontics – which is a yearlong program taught by the highly regarded Dr Tony Rotondo and Dr Michael Mandikos. This inspired his passion for Cosmetic and further led him on a journey to learn from the international legends of restorative dentistry Dr Jason Smithson (U.K) and Dr Didier Dietschi (Switzerland).
He is a graduate of the Master Clinician Program in Implant Dentistry from the Loma Linda University – School of Dentistry in California, USA. Dr Laird places hundreds of implants each year and has a special focus in full-arch implants and full mouth reconstructions.
Outside of dentistry, Dr Laird enjoys sunsets (and taking photos of sunsets), hiking and spending time with family and friends.

Dr Paul obtained his Dentistry degree from Griffith University in Queensland, after having completed his Pharmacy degree. He moved to Perth for several years before finding his way back to his beautiful hometown of Melbourne.
He has a strong interest towards restorative and cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, orthodontics and oral surgery including wisdom teeth removal. He routinely provides a lot of these treatments under inhouse sedation which provides a relaxed and pain-free experience for patients.
Most recently, Paul has completed his fellowship (2019) and is an active member of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) as well as being a member of the Australian Society of Implant Dentistry (ASID). He is currently undertaking a PGCert (Dent Imp) from Cambridge Academy of Dental Implantology (UK, 2020/21). Paul continually undertakes the latest further training both in Australia and internationally to provide the most up to date care and treatment possible.
Outside of his dental endeavours, Paul is a thrill-seeker, enjoying downhill mountain biking across Victoria. In winter, he trades his bike for a snowboard, exploring the Victorian alps. Recently, he welcomed his baby daughter, Olivia, into the world.

I first visited Glenferrie Dental for an initial appraisal, knowing my teeth needed some work. Dr Peter Laird took the time to talk me through my dental health and I immediately felt confident and assured that I was in capable hands. The surgeries are state of the art and thoughtful in design. I am exceedingly nervous (others would call it a phobia) when it comes to any dental needs. I found myself needing dental surgery. I had been to two other dental groups and did not feel comfortable with either group. I decided to give Dr Peter Laird and his team a go at Glenferrie Dental. The whole experience and journey has been amazing. Right at the beginning from the lovely staff at front desk and then a consultation with Peter, who was intuitive to my nerves and doubts, put me at ease. I knew I was in good hands and felt confident in him and his team. I required all my top teeth out and after much discussion opted for All on X. Peter promised me it would be a painless procedure and he was right. I cannot express how now looking at the final result has made me so happy, I literally cried with joy. I expressed interest from an ad on facebook. I’ve always hated my smile and I had been investigating the all on four dentures. I had a meeting with the amazing Catherine to discuss options and from the moment I walked in , I knew I had chosen the right place. Catherine was a treat to deal with. I made up my mind with no pressure and booked for the procedure. I had a bad underbite and I was told that it would be fixed as well. Then the procedure. It took 3 days. Totally amazing. Dr Peter Laird is a genius. The final outcome was beyond belief. I seriously don’t know how he did it. My new teeth are amazing. My underbite fixed and natural looking teeth. Wish my first point of call to Glenferrie dental was my first stop. Went to another specialist dentist for implants and a crown and was quoted 5000 more than Glenferrie. Pays to shop around. All things aside though. Walking into the comfortable rooms and greated by the lovely front desk staff. Instantly put at ease. Then saw the most beautiful and professional office manager Catherine. She gave me all the costs and a plan of attack. She also made me feel really comfortable and I felt cared for and not just a number. Peter looked after me and fitted my crown and implants. I am so so happy with the results and the care I got. Peter is so personable and most of all gentle.
